Railway Arms pub fundraises for Saffron Walden Almshouses

Staff and customers at our local award-winning community pub, the Railway Arms, have been fundraising for Saffron Walden Almshouses at their popular Sunday evening quiz, and have raised over £320! Assistant Manager Isla Pearson presented the donation to Trustee and Chair of our Fundraising Committee, John Kerr. Huge thanks to the Railway team and customers for their generosity!

Saffron Walden Almshouses is a charity which provides affordable homes for local people on low incomes and with limited savings. We are currently fundraising to build 16 new energy-efficient, accessible flats in the centre of Saffron Walden; our aim is to keep residents close to the schools, work and families they love. The Railway Arms is a community-owned pub and was recently named CAMRA’s North West Essex Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year.
