Vacancies: Volunteer Trustees
Are you passionate about supporting local people in housing need?
Do you have the skills and dedication to help guide the historic Saffron Walden Almshouse charity into the future?
Our Almshouse Charity is seeking new trustees to join our board. As a trustee you will play a crucial role in providing much needed housing for Saffron Walden residents of modest means, irrespective of their age.
We are looking for people who will roll up their sleeves. We are particularly interested in those who have expertise in:-
- Finance and accounting
- Fundraising
- Community engagement
- Housing management
- Property maintenance
- Charity governance and compliance
This is an exciting time to join the Almshouses. We plan to replace buildings that are no longer fit for purpose with a new purpose-built unit.
A volunteer role, being a trustee offers the rewards of making a meaningful impact on residents’ lives, gaining valuable experience in governance and leadership, and working alongside a friendly and dedicated team of staff and trustees.
No previous trustee experience is necessary. We value enthusiasm and willingness to contribute. Training and support will be provided.
