Our Colouring Competition at ‘More in Common’ event

Great day yesterday at ‘More in Common – On the Common’ a ‘Great Get-Together’ community event in memory of MP Jo Cox. As you can see, we were also very proud of our new King Edward VI Almshouse t-shirts!

We had lots of visitors, including the Mayor, who were interested to learn more about the Almshouses and our future redevelopment plans. Most people were amazed to learn that we consider applications from all ages who fit the eligibility criteria, not just the elderly.

We also had lots of entries for our colouring competition, a specially-drawn illustration of our splendid Almshouse building by talented illustrator Sarah Turpin, one of our residents. The closing date for entries is Sunday, 30th June – and we’re looking forward to judging them!
